Day 5: Dawn in Tahiti

Last night we got into the airport in Pape'ete', made our way out to the bus stop, and took the local transit ("le truck"--tres rustique) to the hotel, had a terrible room service dinner, and crashed into bed.

Today looks a bit more promising. There are a zillion tropical-type birds flying around making tropical-type bird noises, the sky is brilliant blue, and the sun is breaking over the horizon, and just starting to light up Mo'orea, across the lagoon. After we've found some breakfast someplace, we will make our way to the ferry, and head over to Mo'orea, where we'll be for the next few days.
