Day 28: Hallowe'en in Ubud

Happy hallowe'en everybody! We arrived at our spooooky little bungalow in Ubud yesterday afternoon. The bungalow has 2 levels. The top bit, where we sleep, is like a giant wicker picnic basket with a thatch roof, but the downstairs part, where the bathroom is, is made from hand carved stone blocks, and marble tile, which gives it a mausoleum type feel. So there you have it. A wicker basket atop a mausoleum, overlooking some rice fields.
When we checked in yesterday, the porter told us that we should open the window so that we could hear the songbirds singing. Instead, we found one of the little fellows on his side on our patio hyperventilating-clearly about to expire, which seems like a much more appropriate thing to do on hallowe'en than singing...

That looks like a perfect place for a mosquito net. Have you needed it?
